Abstract

Objetivo: Identificar na literatura os estudos existentes que discutem a percepção da relação entre esperança, trauma raquimedular e cuidado de enfermagem. Métodos: Trata-se de revisão integrativa da literatura, a partir de publicações científicas existentes nas principais bases de dados da saúde, em inglês, português e espanhol, até 2017, totalizando 11 estudos. Resultados: Os artigos foram avaliados quanto a sua qualidade de constructo através de checklists específicos para cada tipo de estudo. A esperança surgiu como estratégia motivacional e propulsora de atitudes positivas, ao passo que fomenta a elaboração criativa de estratégias gerenciadoras de metas e potencializa a esperança como mola propulsora de possibilidades futuras. Conclusão: Embora a escassez de estudos de Enfermagem que discutem a percepção de esperança na lesão medular, observou-se que esta é inerente ao processo de viver da pessoa com esta condição.
