Uso do plasma rico em plaquetas no processo de revascularização endodôntica / Use of platelet rich plasma for endodontic revascularization

Abstract


A terapia endodôntica em pacientes jovens com dentes imaturos tem sido um grande desafio para os profissionais. Entre as alternativas de tratamento para esses casos, destaca-se a revascularização, que visa regenerar os tecidos biológicos no interior do espaço do canal radicular. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a eficácia do uso do plasma rico em plaquetas no processo de revascularização endodôntica por meio de uma revisão integrativa. O banco de dados utilizado na seleção dos artigos foi o PubMed (Public / PublishMedline). Os critérios para a seleção da amostra foram: artigos na íntegra, escritos em inglês, publicados entre os anos de 2011 e 2018, com os seguintes descritores "revascularização endodôntica" e "plasma rico em plaquetas". Após os critérios de inclusão, 11 artigos foram incluídos. Dos artigos selecionados, todos foram publicados em periódicos de origem internacional. Com base na revisão integrativa, durante o processo de revascularização com PRP, é formado um novo tecido intra-radicular com suprimento sanguíneo, que permite a formação e o desenvolvimento radicular com aumento do comprimento e espessura das paredes dentinárias. Devido ao grande benefício proporcionado aos dentes com necrose pulpar e rizogênese incompleta, esse tratamento apresenta grandes perspectivas futuras que ainda demandam estudos.
